The Raptors team total is sitting at O/U 106.5 points against Miami tonight, but OG Anunoby is listed as probable with a finger sprain he picked up during Friday's shootaround. He's been averaging 16.2 PPG over the last 10 games and shooting 41.3% from three during that stretch.

Miami's been allowing 108.4 points per game at home over their last 8, but that includes two blowout losses where teams hit 120+. The Heat's perimeter defense has been solid when locked in - they held Boston to 98 points last Tuesday.

Anunoby's finger looked taped pretty heavily in the pre-game footage I saw. Even if he plays, his shooting touch could be off. That's 15-18 potential points that might not materialize if he's compromised or plays limited minutes.

I was tracking this exact situation after seeing the injury report drop around 3 PM Eastern. Caught the line at 107.5 early this morning and it's already moved down to 106.5 across most books. The sharp money is clearly on the under here.

Watched Anunoby's shooting routine during warmups for their last game when he had that wrist issue three weeks back - his release was noticeably different and he went 2-for-9 from deep that night. Finger injuries are even worse for shooters than wrist problems because it affects the final touch on every shot.

Miami's home court has been a graveyard for visiting offenses lately. They've held 6 of their last 8 opponents under their season scoring average. Butler's been more engaged defensively at home too, which makes a huge difference in their rotations. I'm leaning under 106.5 pretty heavily, especially if Anunoby's minutes get capped around 28-30 instead of his usual 36.

Had a similar situation last season when I was tracking Siakam's ankle injury against the Sixers. The line looked juicy at first glance, but injured players in division games rarely perform at their usual level even when they suit up.

The books know something we don't here. That line movement from 107.5 down to 106.5 happened fast, and it's not because of public money. When MyStake drops a total that quickly, it's usually because their traders got wind of something concrete about playing time or effectiveness.

I've learned to fade teams when their second-leading scorer is questionable with a shooting-related injury. Especially on the road against a defense that's been clicking recently.

Wait, are we sure the finger is that big of a deal? Anunoby played through worse last year and still put up decent numbers. Plus Toronto's been running more through Barnes lately anyway.

The finger injury is definitely a factor, but I think people are overlooking Toronto's pace against Miami historically. These teams have gone under the total in 4 of their last 6 meetings, and that's with both squads relatively healthy.

Miami's halfcourt defense forces teams into longer possessions, which naturally suppresses scoring totals. Even if Anunoby plays at 85% effectiveness, the Raptors might only lose 8-10 points from their expected output. The real question is whether Miami can score enough to push this total over - they've been inconsistent offensively at home, averaging just 104.6 in their last 8.

This is exactly the kind of trap line that burns casual bettors. Everyone's going to see "probable" and assume Anunoby plays normal minutes at normal effectiveness. Wrong.

Finger sprains for shooters are like ankle sprains for runners - you can play through it, but you're not the same player. I've seen this movie before with other teams. The under hits easy here.

Been tracking Toronto's offensive efficiency without key contributors this season, and the numbers are telling. When any of their top 4 scorers miss time or play compromised, their offensive rating drops by 6.8 points per 100 possessions on average.

The market adjustment from 107.5 to 106.5 actually feels conservative given the circumstances. Miami's allowing 101.2 points per game to teams missing a key rotation player this season - that's a significant sample size of 11 games. Rabona still has the total at 107 if you want the extra half-point, but I expect that to move down by tip-off.

Factor in Miami's tendency to slow down games at home (96.4 possessions per game vs 98.1 on the road) and this total looks inflated even without the injury concerns.

That 6.8 points per 100 possessions drop is the key stat here. Toronto's offensive rating sits at 112.4 this season, so compromised they're looking at 105.6 — which puts them right at that 106.5 number. The market knows exactly what it's doing.

I've been tracking finger injuries for shooters all season, and effectiveness drops 12-15% on catch-and-shoot opportunities. Anunoby's averaging 2.8 threes per game at 38.2% — if he's even 10% less efficient, that's 0.8 fewer points just from his outside shooting. Factor in Miami holding opponents to 45.1% from the field at home, and this under has serious value at the current number.
